MINUTES - Amended
Regular Meeting of October 26, 2011 at 7:30 pm
Council Chambers, Municipal Center, 3 Primrose Street, Newtown, CT
Commissioners Present: Boily, Bryan, Hammar, Peters, and Pieragostini
Staff Present: Tammy Hazen, Clerk
Commissioner Peters convened the meeting at 7:25 pm.
PENDING APPLICATIONS
IW #11-39 12-16 Pocono Road. Application by Toll CT III Limited Partnership for Woods at Newtown, LLC for a proposed 178 unit residential elderly housing.
After discussion, Commissioner Hammar motioned to approve the application with standard conditions A, B, C, D, E, G, H, J, L, and
- The approved plans are “Woods at Newtown Overall Site Plan”, 12 – 16 Pocono Road and Mt. Pleasant Road, Newtown, CT, dated 9/14/2011, Scale 1” = 100’ with associated support documents and plans; and
- The applicant shall create and record on the property deed the maintenance schedule for the conservation areas to include the removal and control of Phragmites, which shall be reviewed and approved by the Inland Wetlands Agent prior to recording.
Commissioner Bryan seconded the motion. Commissioner Pieragostini abstained. The motion was carried unanimously.
IW #11-41 Rollingwood Subdivision Lot 88. Application by Blakeman Construction for the construction of a single family residence.
The applicant will be returning in December with information requested by the commission.
IW #11-42 Rollingwood Subdivision Lot 103. Application by Blakeman Construction for the construction of a single family residence.
The applicant has withdrawn this application.
OTHER BUSINESS
Approval of Minutes – Commissioner Boily motioned to approve the minutes of October 12, 2011. Motion seconded by Commissioner Pieragostini. Commissioner Bryan abstained. The minutes were approved as amended.
Commissioner Boily motioned to adjourn. Commissioner Hammar seconded the motion. The motion was approved and the meeting was adjourned at 7:42 pm.
